The Intelligence & Security Committee's Stewart Hosie said the government didn't investigate alleged Russian interference in the Brexit vote, and no one wanted to touch this "with a ten-foot pole". Starmer has done nothing to rectify this situation. Please repost if you want the government to conduct a full scale inquiry into Russian interference in British politics over the last twenty years. Russia is waging a hybrid war against the UK and this government, like its Tory predecessors, is failing to protect us against the political half of that attack.

I heard John McDonnell on R4 news at 5 today. He did his ‘Reasonable’ act. ‘It would be nice if Andy asked Jeremy back, we’re a broad church’ (wasn’t it part of the deal) & ‘it would be good to have an orderly transition & let Keir put throughout a couple of his policies! Grrr!!
John McDonnell and his crew would rather be in opposition, permanently angry and bitter. They certainly never want a Labour Gov to succeed. They must not be allowed to turf Keir Starmer out of No 10.

What are the grounds for believing that Burnham would be a better Prime Minister than Starmer has been? Labour MPs are obviously desperate for someone capable of being popular but Burnham's blandness (?), casual u-turns (?) and near silence (?) on how he would deal with the same set of problems that Starmer is grappling with do not provide much reassurance. He was an undistinguished (?) cabinet minister under Brown and was twice unsuccessful in Labour leadership elections.

Said few weeks ago that Corbyn would soon get involved in Labour’s travails with the reemergence of Burnham. People forget ( I haven’t) there was history between the two during the 2015 leadership contest. Burnham was somewhat responsible for Corbyn’s emergence.
