The shared Token Gateway contract that was exploited has now been permanently retired. In the new architecture: — assets are isolated from one another — the sudo/admin layer has been removed — upgrades now go through governance — proof generation is permissionless — infrastructure participation is open
Hyperbridge is back! The April 13 exploit exposed deeper architectural weaknesses in the protocol. Instead of patching the old system, we rebuilt the parts that concentrated risk underneath the network. 🧵

On April 13, 2026, an attacker exploited a vulnerability in Hyperbridge’s MMR verifier and drained the Token Gateway. After a round of internal audits, we found the same class of bug in two widely used libraries across the Polkadot ecosystem, including pallet-beefy-mmr. Here’s the full account 🧵
