This thread is devastating and a stark reminder that we cannot just “move on” from COVID. This impacts every aspect to our lives so when people can’t show up in the ways you want because you all refuse to protect disabled people, remember this is always in the backs of our minds

I’ve been holding this in because what’s the point right, but it is so unbelievably frustrating how we just gave up on public health in this country. People can’t even make risk decisions accurately because daily COVID cases aren’t being counted (at least in DC). What a failure.

I was a "tomboy" who loved sports and wore clothes meant for "boys". I wore my hair short. Do you know how I know that I wasn't trans? Because I hated when people mistook me for a boy. I just wanted to like what I liked. Being a tomboy and being trans are not comparable.

There are plenty of poor people stuck here without cars (I will become one when my ancient car eventually dies) and we don’t have transit, cabs, or consistent sidewalks. A couple of my fellow subsidized housing neighbors leave here before 6am to walk the highway to work in town.

it's very exhausting to see white people write articles about how it's "too late" to stop climate breakdown - too late for who??? Every single fraction of a degree of warming we prevent is lives saved - especially in the Global South. It's never too late.
