Some advice for marginalised/minoritized scholars: be wary of self-declared “allies”who are always looking for scholars like you to uplift. I promise you the academics who do this work the best don’t declare it; it’s just part of their praxis & they keep quiet to keep you safe.

White folks in academia fraudulently living as Indigenous Ppls do damage to us all. And they do the most damage to actual Indig students & others who are seeking meaningful & respectful reconnection to their tribal communities due to colonial disconnect that is not their fault!
