For everyone asking how close the Trump Phone is to the HTC U24 Pro, here’s the inside view. The answer is: very. The internals line up almost part for part, down to the board layout, cameras, shields, cables, and battery placement. This is what a rebrand looks like when the back cover comes off.

First The Verge spotted the resemblance. Then NBC brought the Trump Phone to our San Luis Obispo office so we could get past the gold paint. CT scans and a full teardown confirmed it: the T1 is nearly identical to the HTC U24 Pro. Same internals. Same layout. Same story, just with a louder outfit.
