My essential point about Weddell is that he makes repeated public and provocative comments - rather more prior to the hasty deletion of his X account - and while not a public figure, he has thoroughly inserted himself into a public debate about a highly contested issue. It is therefore difficult for me to see how my critical comments about his actions are ‘a wicked campaign of harassment’ or an ‘online onslaught’. For example, I am entitled to think and to say that a man who urges a crowd to defecate on a woman’s head, is not the best example of a story teller for children.

Menstruation is the lining of the uterus being expelled. No man can ever menstruate. If he experiences ‘cramps’ these are nothing to do with uterine contractions but more likely gas building up in his intestines. If it comforts a man to believe he is ‘having a period’ then that’s a matter for him but he may not assume I buy into it.

The legal definition of Gender Identity in Australia is gibberish: "gender identity means the gender‑related identity, appearance or mannerisms or other gender‑related characteristics of a person (whether by way of medical intervention or not), with or without regard to the person’s designated sex at birth."

So let me see if I have this straight. A care home sends a mentally disabled man on a trip to the zoo with only two people to mind him. He gets away from them and throws a toddler down a 15 foot drop into a pit full of crocodiles. The police then release him back to the same people who let him get away from them in the first place. How is ANY of that acceptable? Do they not have secure mental health facilities for the criminally insane? It’s hard to think of a better example of criminal insanity than throwing a toddler into a crocodile enclosure without understanding what you did. The facility he’s currently in clearly doesn’t take appropriate precautions to protect the general public from his behavior. I refuse to believe that this is the only time he’s ever been violent.

On March 31, 2010, a 13 yr old Muslim girl named Elham Mahdi al-Assi was forced into an arranged marriage with Abed al-Hikmi, age 23, in the Hajjah province of Yemen. The first night, Elham resisted al-Hikmi’s sexual advances. On the second day, he visited a clinic in an effort to get some tranquilizers so that he could drug her into cooperating, but was refused. That night, al-Hikmi tied Elham to the bed and raped her so brutally that the next day she was unable to walk. Dr. Fathiya Haidar, who worked at the clinic al-Hikmi grudgingly took her to, later told journalists that Elham had suffered “significant injuries,” and that she had ordered al-Hikmi to leave Elham alone for at least ten days. It was an order that al-Hikmi ignored. On 2 April, three days after her marriage, Elham Mahdi al-Assi died from severe internal bleeding. A post-mortem examination made it clear that al-Hikmi had raped her again after the visit to the clinic, even more violently than before. International outcry was enormous, but as Yemeni law has no minimum age for marriage, and marital rape is perfectly legal, Elham’s rapist-husband was not charged with any crime. Yemeni leaders refused to implement any minimum age for marriage, saying that doing so would violate Sharia principles — and so of course it happened again. In 2013, an 8 year old girl named Rawan was forcibly married to a 40 yr old man, also in Hajjah province. On the wedding night, he raped her so brutally that he ruptured her uterus. She was rushed to a clinic, but could not be saved, and died from shock and blood loss. Again, international condemnation followed. The Yemeni government tried to deny that the girl had died, or that any wedding had taken place, but activists from the Yemen House of Folklore insisted that the events had occurred as reported. The Yemeni government then tried to parade another girl in front of cameras, claiming that she was Rawan and was unharmed, but journalists and activists alike have stated that this was a sham. Once again, no one was arrested, and no charges were filed. Elhan and Rawan were little girls. They deserved a chance to grow up, to become the women they were meant to be. Instead, their parents sold them off to be raped to death by grown men who had absolutely no business being anywhere near them. The laws of Yemen are atrocious. Elhan and Rawan are not the only girls who have been raped to death. They’re just the only ones we’ve heard of. And this, too, is Islam.

As an expert in women's health with degrees in biology & medicine who treat women as my actual job, I will inform you that being a woman is a combination of chromosomes, external & internal sex characteristics & the CAPACITY but not the NECESSITY to menstruate, gestate & lactate. Women born without a uterus are a biological anomaly, not a variation of normal biology. Women who had a hysterectomy are still women. Women who have menstrual abnormalities, including absence of periods, infertility, & problems breastfeeding are still women. Saying a man who thinks he's a woman & is deluding himself that he's having "period pains" is the same as those biological women is patently false.

You can tell them to their faces what's happening to kids and they just don't care.

I find all of this just so insulting. Not one other group of people would be allowed to be ridiculed, parodied or mocked in this way. But it’s ok because it’s just ..women. More often than not they also use a vile & repugnant play on abusive words for women’s anatomy as their names.

Cross sex hormones are not HRT. The clue is in the name. Hormone replacement treatment replaces small amounts of naturally occurring hormones that have diminished with age. Cross sex hormones don’t replace anything. They are intended to disrupt the body’s hormonal balance.

Multiple studies have found that gender dysphoric youth on puberty blockers see essentially no change in mental health. And given that almost all minors who start them for GD go on to take cross-sex hormones, it remains unclear what this NHS study is for, given there is no planned extension to study subsequent use of CSHs. The only part of the study that might be of use is the arm of it that includes brain scans. It remains woefully unclear what the long-term effects to the brain of these drugs actually are. Additionally, given that only a small percentage of minors who take blockers actually start them early enough to arrest a substantial proportion of their puberty, and given that the typical minor to present at a gender clinic is a 14-15 year old natal girl who is either totally or almost finished with puberty, it remains unclear why those particular youth even need puberty blockers before starting CSHs. Natal males take them to suppress their testosterone. But there is no clear purpose of blockers for a 15 year old natal girl who wants to go on T. And please don’t tell me that people still pretend that the purpose of blockers is to give these kids “time to think” about whether to take hormones. Kids don’t see them that way. They see them as a way station before they get what they want: blockers.
