The world’s richest man has decided that the world’s richest country shouldn't help some of the world’s poorest people. This is blatantly illegal. An unelected billionaire cannot simply shut down federal agencies authorized by Congress at will.
Republicans want to slash Medicaid — a death sentence for thousands of Americans. Medicaid provides health care to more than 37 million kids, funding for 2/3 of seniors in nursing homes & is 40% of the revenue for community health centers. We must EXPAND Medicaid, not cut it.
Now, on top of everything else, we see the blatant racism of the Musk-Trump agenda. As a result of the legacy of apartheid, White South Africans, 8% of the population, own 3/4 of the country’s farmland while Black South Africans, 80% of the population, own just 4%. And Musk-Trump are worried about discrimination against Whites.
