Some facts about assistive technology for #WorldATDay: 👨👩👦👦 Globally, more than 2.5 billion people need one or more #AT products. 📈With an ageing global population and a rise in #NCDs noncommunicable diseases, an estimated 3.5 billion people will need #AssistiveTechnology by 2050. 🦽Of 80 million people who need wheelchair, only 5–35% have access to one. 🦻 1.5 billion people have hearing loss, yet #hearing aid production currently meets less than 10% of the global demand.
