@mcuban It almost feels like this is rehashing the definition of insanity. Inspiration taken from countries that have tried different methods may help, but at this point a few obvious things stick out. The current system is unsustainable on its current path, unless we are ok with all money going towards healthcare down the road. Fixing this requires people to truly see and feel the problem, not write opinion pieces or feel-good laws. You even commented on this a few times, and I couldn't agree more. There is nothing stopping lawmakers from working with a group to acquire a hospital and figure out what is truly broken. Where I think we fall short is in believing this issue can be solved simply by doing one or a few actions. It would take a complete overhaul from top to bottom, with all participants involved, to design a new system that doesn't accept how things are but is willing to change into what should be. While I struggle to believe any politician can solve this, it would be a huge opportunity to bring in fresh ideas and groups with a serious interest in solving healthcare. It's almost a joke (it's on all of us) that we can't just sit down and put aside differences to fix this issue.

@mcuban Transparency is an impossible conversation topic with so many who are complaining we need solutions. Can you imagine if someone came prepared to lay it out and solve the issue, in essence this creates a blueprint for others and that's a win win.

@RealPostFolder As a dad I would have understood and supported him by refusing to let her pick that day or giving him some encouragement and letting him know it's ok to miss. Without communicating you are simply shifting blame to the BF and yikes at the rest of that life.
