problem is, even if EU countries wanted to show now some sign of sovereignty, like some have been doing, they are subordinated to European Union and NATO interests and orders. Organizations which are heavily compromised, with heads like Rutte, von der Leyen, Kallas and all these bunch of incompetent US-puppets. European leverage is non-existent because these people let US dictate how things are done; with who we can and cannot commerce; also these EU elites with their always present moral and cultural superiority, they will rather let their population to starvation and cold to commerce with Russia, again, because it's better for their lord's interest. We are fucked, I just want to leave the EU for South East Asia as soon as I can.

we tend to think about China what our nations would do. China doesn't seek to take the "protector" nor bully open seat after the US empire collapses, they just want to commerce and get richer by doing so. This is obviously beneficial for them but I don't think they will take active measures, I don't think they even need it, more now that US industrial and military decadence becomes evident. Just see numbers of military output that China produces in a normal day and it's higher than the maximum output the US would be able to reach even in a war economy. They are doomed, and knowing that and how China usually responds and acts to every event, I'd be surprised if they now switched to a more protagonist-stance in the world geopolitics. All of this are my two cents of course, but I've read and studied about China for some time and have a great relationship with chinese people from whom I learn a lot.
