My son and I were training at the CREC one night, right after the Union trade, and saw a lone guy in NYCFC gear with a bunch of guys from the Union. My son, who is a goalie, was sure the lone guy in NYCFC gear was @Matty_Ice49. They were all getting in some extra training on a cold winter night. To now see him now leading the @USMNT is amazing but not 100% surprising. Coach Joe always told my son about how hard Matt worked. Hope all the local players see it as an example of someone who continued to believe in himself and continually worked to improve.
