🔥 I’ve been seeing a lot of brothers talking about $SUPERGEMMA, so I decided to dig a little deeper… and here’s what I found: the dev @jun_song had an in-person meeting with the @virtuals_io team in Korea on May 25, discussing funding solutions for open-source developers. ~ He posted: “Had a great meeting with @virtuals_io team in Korea. Discussed funding solutions for open-source developers. We both agreed it is a must. Stay tuned for what we’re going to cook up next.” ~ Shortly after, @virtuals_io replied with “🫶🏼” and started following Jun Song. To me, that’s a pretty strong signal in the AI agents + open-source meta. 🧠 The dev’s pedigree is seriously strong: Jun Song, known as Jiunsong on Hugging Face, previously worked at Alibaba/Taobao on Multimodal LLMs, became an official @Alibaba_Qwen ambassador, and went full-time into open-source. ~ This is not just some random “token dev”; he has actually been shipping models, infra and research. ~ From what I found, his Hugging Face models are getting close to 100k recent downloads, with GGUF, MLX and optimized local-run versions. 🚀 The $SUPERGEMMA thesis gets interesting because it doesn’t look like just another AI memecoin. 🫡 I’m not deleting any of the posts I made about $CMEM. My original thesis was based on the visible traction around the GitHub repo and the developer’s public endorsement of the community token on Base. ~ At the time, the setup looked strong from a community + builder signal perspective, and I shared what I was seeing in good faith. ⚠️ That said, it later became clear that the same dev had pushed multiple launches across different chains, with previous versions pumping hard before dumping, which naturally raised farming accusations. ~ My goal is always to help the community win together. I earn a lot more by sharing good calls, strengthening community morale, and building my reputation and I value that a lot. Sometimes bad actors slip through disguised as promising projects. Protect yourself, manage risk, DYOR always, and let’s move on to the next one because we’ve already hit many good calls together.
