No deity is greater than her husband for a woman
Both (husband & wife) must act accordingly if they want happiness
[The husband should be the ultimate God for a wife. The husband should deem his wife as a gift of God. If they live with this relationship they'll always be happy]
One should not disclose to anyone the following:
The loss of one’s wealth;
personal tragedy;
suspicion on wife’s conduct;
mean outpourings of a vile person;
and personal ignominy.
Revealing these will add to one's distress without providing any relief.
Peaceful and happiest are the men who have tasted the nectar of satisfaction instead of hankering here and there in lust of money.
Satisfaction is the biggest asset for peace of mind.
One should always be satisfied with
- his wife,
- his diet
- his wealth;
but never with
- his studies,
- his austerity and penance,
- his donations and gifts to the deserving persons.
Never pass between two brahmans;
between fire and a brahman;
between the master and the servant;
between the husband and wife;
and between the plough and the bullocks.
It's always dangerous to do so.
One should never touch (with your foot) the fire, the guru, the brahman, the cow, the maiden girl, the old people and the kids.
It is ill-mannerly to do so.
Brahmanas find satisfaction in a good meal,
peacocks in the sound of thundering clouds,
a sadhu in seeing the prosperity of others,
and the wicked in the misery of others.
Control a stronger enemy by following his orders [submission],
a weaker enemy by striking him [opposition],
and the one whose power is equal to yours by friendship or force.
[One should behave according to the nature of the enemy.]
Do not be too honest and upright in your dealings for you would see by going to the forest that straight trees are cut down while crooked ones are left standing.
[Man must act and work according to the situation and must not always be straight and simple.]
The swans dwell in the pond full of water but desert it when the water dries, and come back again when it's full.
A man should not be so selfish but should live with his benefactor through thick and thin.
Just as it is essential for bound water to have a little flow for its purity,
it is necessary to donate the part of the earned wealth for its protection.
