I’ve been working really hard lately on new feature requests from users, super happy to announce another new release of my localization app! In this release I added a lot of nice review features: - added support for .xcstrings review state (reviewed / not reviewed) - added the ability to share all .xcstrings files in your project with someone else (such as a language expert to review / approve), then import those changes back into your project with just one click 😎 - (for language experts) added the ability to copy strings from one language to others easily - also, updated to support the new macOS 26 UI style - improved OpenAPI error handling for Gemini API (get free translations using the free tier of the Gemini API!!) Localize your apps even faster with the latest update to LocalAIz (my AI localization app)! I just released an update that allows for multiple translations at the same time, this is great when combined with my last update to be able to use any OpenAPI supported services like Open AI, Gemini, Open Router (with your own keys, not additional cost check my previous post for more details on that!). Today marks a 200 day streak using my app to reduce mindless scrolling. It’s made me better at focus and sleeping better. My thumb’s out of shape, but it’s worth it 😂
I just shipped an update to my AI localization app! It now supports the OpenAPI spec, so you can use many different local and cloud providers. For local setups, you can connect to apps such as Ollama or LM Studio. For cloud, you can plug into providers like OpenAI, Gemini, and even Open Router for access to pretty much any hosted model. The Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite free tier offers about 1,000 requests per day, which usually covers localizing most app updates. Please check it out and let me know what you think. (Link in replies)
@PranavDHQ Yeah, it can be tempting when you see huge MRR with questionable moral compass tactics. We should stick true to our values, it might be harder but it’s worth it. Integrity builds trust and loyalty, creating a stronger, lasting foundation over short-term gains.
I'm looking for some feedback on my first app preview videos. What do you think of the flow? How easy is it to read the text? Any other feedback/suggestions?
Does anyone have App Previews tips? I’m having trouble setting the poster frame, it seems to pick random frames instead of the one I chose and then it takes a few minutes to update? Very confusing 🫤
I received a trademark complaint on one of my apps for simply mentioning a brand name in the description as a supported platform. From everything I can tell this should be acceptable but the third party company hired to enforce trademarks insisted I remove it. I ultimately complied to avoid risking my developer account but it is frustrating as a small indie to have to give in to demands that do not seem valid. What makes it worse is that many similar apps openly use the same brand names and even logos without disclaimers yet they face no issue.

@JC_builds Absolutely, it feels like something my brain isn’t fully wired to do. My hope is that the more I do it the easier it gets and the less time I need to spend on it so I can get back to coding haha
