Interesting visualization of Y2k38 problem: retr0.id/stuff/2038/ For those unaware, it's a problem which exists in systems which measure Unix time – the number of seconds elapsed since the Unix epoch (00:00:00 UTC on 1 January 1970) – and store it in a signed 32-bit integer.

Letters are ubiquitous in algebra. But why letters? They are the abstract form of the unknown and you could assign any symbol to it (Letters are basically symbols). All equations in algebra are generalizations. 'x %' of discounts offered on 'y'. You can calculate the savings.

In mathematics, the reality is abstracted into symbols and equations, broken down to their essence and generalized. These generalizations can be taken and applied elsewhere in the field of physics, science, economics, business, accounting, engineering, etc.

What does abstract means? In the most basic sense, it is an ideal version of reality. All of the alphabets and numbers and other symbols are abstract, they're just drawings to which we have assigned meaning.

An experiment conducted by the Apollo 15 crew members shows the theory proposed by Galileo Galilei to be correct. The theory stated that all objects will fall at the same rate under gravity. What better way to prove it. Space is vacuum so there is no air resistance.

When in outer space, the cosmos is filled with light but unless an object such as planets, asteroids, etc. doesn't come in the way of light, it won't get reflected and it won't reach your eyes.
