Thank you to these amazing women who also spoke for those who couldn't. What is more disturbing is how much of this happens everywhere (e.g. In South America) and is not publicly exposed. I hope this serves as a wake up call to our scientific community

It was a sad day when I realised that the thing that concerns me most when I'm heading out for fieldwork is not potentially venemous/dangerous animals or whatever, but men and the harassment I may have to deal with.

By the way, it was ten years ago to this day I was sexually assaulted at the @theAGU meeting in San Francisco by a @Smithsonian scientist. Institutions must finally #BelieveSurvivors so no other woman feels she has no choice but stay silent for so long again. #JustLetMeDoScience

@MikePeacock86 @K_J_Lees @AlanLaw_ I went onto Amazon and purchased some plastic mixing bowls - which work really well… so far. Then I covered them in aluminium tape and added attached some pool noodles- all from Amazon. Since then my Amazon purchase suggestions have been interesting!
