@amuir @HoffmanLabs Most modern attacks used distributed IPs to get around that, I imagine this is similar. It needs something like fail2ban to block each IP as it fails x number of auth requests to prevent flooding.

This utter crap is being distributed through schools from the 'local authority' so presume @WalsallCouncil today. The level of disinformation is staggering. I'd be proud to find my kids learning to use any of these. Except Discord but that's nothing to do with hacking.

The computers in my collection that might benefit from the card aren't PCs and don't have ISA expansion slots. So if you know a specific model of PC model that *only* uses two-digit years in the BIOS, lemme know :)

I'd also quite like to cover this Y2K card from the video on LGR Oddware! Problem is... I haven't been able to find a PC incompatible with Y2K on the BIOS level, haha. Which kinda says something right there.

Wow. Certain SSDs have a firmware bug causing them to irrecoverably fail after exactly 32,768 hours of operation. SSDs that were put into service at the same time will fail simultaneously, so RAID won't help. 😱 support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/publi…

We have had a donation of an IBM 3982 Printer, apparently a pre production unit. We cannot find anything about the machine. Did anyone out there work for Microelectronics Research who can help?
