Starting a residential cleaning biz. Pricing is on our site with an embedded booking form but I'm wondering if asking for payment upfront is too much friction for a first-time visitor with no reviews yet. Debating: lead with "Book Now" (pay to schedule) or "Get a Free Estimate" (no commitment, I follow up manually)?
@TiaGetsSales Yeah, it’s more broker model. I get leads (hopefully) and handle the business aspects and 1099 cleaners do the jobs.
My goal for this week is first 5 customers. So far, I haven’t spent any $ on ads. Haven’t pulled the trigger on meta or LSA. I’ve posted on Nextdoor and a few Facebook groups but nothing has converted yet. How did everyone get their first customers?
@logansendle That’s an interesting approach for sure. I’d clean them for free? Think the resulting leads would offset that cost?

Other residential cleaning company owners: 1. Do you charge more for the initial clean - then transition to recurring? 2. Do you share your checklists with clients? How do you set expectations?

OK spent some time on SEO on directories. Posted on Nextdoor, hoping to get first client via that mechanism. Researching meta ads now. Currently, I've got 1 cleaner basically hired. Many in the pipeline. One interview tomorrow.

Less than 24 hours, but no leads in so far from Nextdoor or Facebook posts. I’m sure leads will be better once I get meta ads rolling.
I have a LOT of cleaner leads coming in, but idk the quality at this point. I’ve heard hiring is the toughest piece because of turnover. I see the merit in w-2 eventually, but 1099 is easier to start with. Yeah, I considered Google LSA also. Probably have to do both eventually. I like the idea of Google more because I don’t necessarily like filming content

I started my cleaning company because I wanted to add some extra income + I want to help my mom stop cleaning homes herself…she’s my partner in this effort and it’ll be something she can do during retirement.

I've had a few ventures at this point: selling creatine gummies, creating an app for parents to pray for their children, AI driven google review responses, now a cleaning company. This cleaning company has been the most exciting venture so far.
Are Nextdoor ads worth it for a cleaning company? $3/day for a month, reach between 2.5k-20k.
