Mauritania formally abolished slavery in 1981, yes you read that right 1981, but only criminalised it in 2007. The last country in the world to do so. Human‑rights organisations and UN experts consistently report that, despite these laws, descent‑based or hereditary slavery persists, with estimates running into tens or even hundreds of thousands of people still living in slave‑like conditions. Who cares where the picture was from? The practice of slavery is alive and well in Africa.

@ShiToshi17 @asbhardwaj86 @isaacrrr7 If you look at the overall crime statistics, Sikhs commit fewer crimes than the average Brit. Of course, that does not mean they never commit crimes; that would be a stupid claim to make and not one I am making.

We absolutely have to fight back, and we have to use the law to do so. We need the following laws: 1. A US style First Amendment that absolutely protects free speech, no more arresting someone who harmlessly holds a sign that states a fact like 'Hamas are terrorists' because someone else might be upset by it or breach the peace. 2. A law that prevents any organisation from receiving government funding, charitable status or recognition of any kind if its ideology does not accord with basic human rights such as freedom of religion, equality of men and women and so on. 3. A law which declares that all laws must apply equally to all citizens, with no exceptions for religious or racial groups. 4. A law either declaring that we are a secular state or recognising that the Church of England is our official religion and no other religion is to be taught in state schools or be recognised by state institutions. No swearing on the Quran, for example in court. The above would go a considerable way to stopping Islamic takeovers.
