Since The Day of the Doctor honestly. Massive hit. In fact Smith’s viewing figures were as strong as Series 3. That era found a new audience to replace the RTD1 fans who dipped.

No, but judging by his writing I think Chibnall likes ambiguity in the placement of his incarnations like Fugitive Doctor. Right or wrong I think his ethos is placement doesn’t matter. Maybe he wouldn’t care where you place them.

@Enny_Taylor It didn’t intend to lose those RTD1 fans. Honestly it was always more on them as Doctor Who was always about the changing eras, but they could never accept anything other than RTD.

I honestly think destroying Gallifrey a second time started a trend in Doctor Who that it never ditched. That’s the moment I personally felt I’d stopped enjoying the newer output of the show. I may not have enjoyed the last five years, but what’s happened is a shame. Come back.

The Sun are reporting that the #DoctorWho Christmas special might be "scrapped" or pushed back to Easter 2027. TV Zone has approached the BBC for comment.
