@BaA43A3aHY On the one hand, it’s astonishingly good.
On the other hand, it’s image manipulation. No matter what the image depicts, it loses its sense of reality.

In 1984, the 735th bomber regiment replaced its MiG-23Ms with second-hand Su-24 Fencer-Bs in the Uzbek SSR. The navigation system and weapon system of this long-range type enabled for automatic target flight and engagement even at night and in closed cloud cover over Afghanistan.
@BaA43A3aHY In the Soviet Union, the 715th Training Air Regiment used a squadron of MiG-23MLD export variants at the Lugovaya. However, these were upgraded aircraft, like the original Syrian export MLDs - B/N:27xx.
@BaA43A3aHY So far, I have identified 32 Libyan MiG-23MLDs. There may have been around 40 in total.
Three Libyan squadrons used MiG-23MLDs. The 1023rd, the 1024th (later merged with the 1060th) and the 1090th. The latter used a mixed fleet of MiG-23MF/MLD and, from 1989, MiG-23MS aircraft.
@BaA43A3aHY However, the combined number of MiG-23Bs and BNs is correct! It is important to note that 49+3 of these are early MiG-23Bs with Lyulka engines.
@BaA43A3aHY Hi! I always thought this quantity of MiG-23MS was too much. If we add up the Libyan, Egyptian, Syrian, Iraqi, and Soviet aircraft, the maximum number is 130-140. So 179 MiG-23MSs is definitely a lot. Unfortunately, there is no more accurate data available. :(
