I have a feeling XBOX will bring back the “Core” and “Elite” tier for Next XBOX, similar to what they did for Xbox 360, but with some key differences: - The “Elite” console may have a better/faster GPU - Disk drive and extra memory will be optional on both tiers to cut budget.

After all the Xbox drama of last 2-3, I also had a “Major reset” when it comes to Xbox, I did a factory reset and sold the 2 Xbox Series S consoles we had & traded them for PS5 😂 Bought Game PC’s for my sons & Gaming Laptop for myself + NS2. Kept the XSX for BC though.

Shifting focus every 2-3 years and devs/studios being forced to push a policy that ends up in close of studios/layoffs, while MS itself is the problem, not the devs/studios or Xbox team in general.

Microsoft shut down the studio behind Hi-Fi Rush, one of best exclusives, why? Game Pass hurt its sales. MS sabotaged own studio. Now there’s rumors for opposite; studio closure/layoffs after MS pushed teams to build around Game Pass model and lack of unique games/exclusives.

MS will cut marketing budget (according to recent reports), & Xbox division will face a new round of layoffs, end result = sabotaging HW sales, more stress for devs/studios, Xbox team as a whole. Consequence; NextGen Console / “PC console” or whatever HW, will face same problems.

Objectively speaking the Nintendo Direct was the best show of this year. Packed with tons of games, AAA, Arcade, Indie, 1st party/exclusives, 3rd party, casual, old-school, modern, RPGs, Sports, Unique Games, etc & no one can deny the biggest game out of all shows is OOT Remake.

Thank you Nintendo for not going the cell shaded route with this game! Wow! This game is looking AMAZING! I can already tell they are going to take full advantage of the Switch 2’s power with this one! I can’t be the only one tired of the cell shaded art style from other games. Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, and Metaphor Refantazio all looked the same to me in the Direct. They’re all going to be great games, and Xenoblade Genesis and Fortune’s Weave are day one buys, but feel those games could have ran on Switch 1. Feel the cell shaded route is what devs used to compensate for a lack of hardware power, but Switch 2 is better than this. Looking at Ocarina of Time you can clearly see a generational leap that simply wasn’t possible on Switch 1. I want the same developer effort in all my Switch 2 AAA games. Switch Sports Resorts and games like that I get it, but larger games the graphical expectations should be more. Ocarina of Time Remake tease did not disappoint!

Microsoft’s multiplat model is one of the most greedy company decisions forced by a CEO. Game platforms (PC, Consoles, Handhelds, etc) are not all the same and forcing +/- same amount of devs to work on at least 8 devices/platforms results in extremely stressful work environment.

Gotta be hard working for Microsoft. The Coalition team worked for years on Gears: E-Day PS5 + PS5 Pro, only to find out all their extra work was for nothing a few days before the “Xbox Console exclusive” announcement. Devs have to build games with multiple consoles + PC in mind.

With Nintendo I know what I can expect, great 1st party games & consoles. With Xbox you don’t know what to expect, Satya can have a bad night and all of a sudden the whole Xbox division can be closed or forced to push “a new vision” to reach 1 trillion Gamepass subs by 2030.
