Supporting Builders and Application Ecosystem Growth Contributions to the EAG Contribution Pool will be directed toward a variety of ecosystem initiatives, including builder development, ecosystem research, community programs, and application-focused innovation. A key focus in 2026 is EAG's Global Application & Builder Initiatives, which aim to discover, support, and accelerate the next generation of Ethereum builders, with a particular emphasis on fostering talent and innovation in underrepresented regions. Moving forward, EAG will continue to build across emerging application areas including hardware, privacy, open-source infrastructure, and AI. Additional details will be shared in the coming months.

Launching EAG Contribution Pool to Support Ethereum App Ecosystem with ETH Staking Rewards We're excited to announce the launch of the EAG Contribution Pool, a community-driven, non-custodial DApp designed for Ethereum ecosystem participants, jointly built by Ethereum Applications Guild (EAG) and HashKey Cloud @HashKeyCloud. The EAG Contribution Pool enables ETH stakers to voluntarily allocate a portion of their staking rewards toward application ecosystem-building efforts, while maintaining full ownership and control of their assets at all times. 🧵

The fund supported 134 security projects and had 3,934 unique donors. 1/ @Ronin_Network, one of the largest gaming blockchains, completed its migration to an Ethereum L2. 2/ Clear Signing went live. It is an open standard designed to help end blind signing and make transaction data human-readable before signing. 2026 Global Application & Builder Initiatives EAG has introduced the 2026 Global Application & Builder Initiatives as a structured set of regional programs supporting developers in emerging and underrepresented regions. From May to September 2026, these initiatives will take place across Latin America, Africa, Oceania, and India. Through developer education, hackathons, selection tracks, and academic and research sessions, the program aims to strengthen local builder communities and support the development of regionally relevant applications. Selected teams and individual developers will be invited to participate in the @shanhaiwoo 2026 residency in Hong Kong and Mumbai for further development, and will later come together during Devcon as part of the broader Ethereum ecosystem.
