Yay, the networking is working in the guest OS now! I had to change the bridge from "br0" to "virbr0" to make it work. Downloading updates in the guest OS now, then I'll get the bi-di clipboard working in it. #InstallFest #TrisquelGNU #virtualisation #qemu #kvm #virt_manager

Looks like I haven't quite worked out the networking in #qemu, #kvm & #virt_manager yet either. My #TrisquelGNU Mini guest has no Internet connection yet. I'll keep plugging on and learning with it though. Any suggestions or advice would be welcome. #InstallFest

@lenovo @fsf I got onto the #Trisquel channel on Freenode IRC and asked about this WIFI problem, and was told that my Intel WLAN adaptor is not fully free software compliant, that's why it doesn't work in #TrisquelGNU. Now using a USB WLAN adaptor, and it works fine! #InstallFest

@Lenovo @Lenovo, for a definition of "#FreedomCompatible" hardware, as endorsed by the @FSF (as far as I understand it), see trisquel.info/en/wiki/hardwa… I'm still learning about all of this, hardware that respects end-users' #freedoms.

While hoping for a reply on the video, next problem with the @Lenovo #LenovoThinkPadT420 on #TrisquelGNU #GNULinux is #WLAN driver. I have #Intel 6205, as per h-node, but it's not working yet. Any suggestions? Are there drivers on h-node? h-node.org/wifi/view/en/7… #InstallFest

The limitation, from what I see on the @Lenovo website, seems to be the internal display itself, not the graphics chipset. pcsupport.lenovo.com/nz/en/products… External display can handle up to 2560x1600, but nothing better than 1366 x 768 on the internal display? #TrisquelGNU #InstallFest

Before I go trying to fix something that isn't actually broken, can someone tell me please, the @Lenovo #LenovoThinkPadT420 video is currently 1366x768, is that the best it will do? Changing the #videodriver won't help? I'm using #TrisquelGNU v8.0 #Flidas #GNULinux i915 driver.

For myself, I'm now using #TrisquelGNU rather than #Lubuntu anyway, so it doesn't really matter to me personally, but I am keen to know what gives with the lubuntu.me vs lubuntu.net debate, with #DMCA threats being thrown around between #FOSS players.

@gKrishnaKS @lenovo Almost, but I was a good #Linux geek and used the CLI this time, using "lspci -nnk | grep VGA" Yeah, I copy/pasted the command from elsewhere. I'm still a bit weak on my CLI-fu, but I'm saving the results of these in my hardware records in @Keepass. Easier with the text output.
