Today the European Commission sent two sets of preliminary findings to #Alphabet / #Google for failing to comply with the Digital Markets Act (#DMA), regarding two services for which it has been designated as a #gatekeeper: #Googlesearch and #GooglePlay. Irrespective of the final outcome of these initiatives, whose outcome will be decided later, it is interesting to see that the European Commission does not look intimidated by the recent positions of the US administration declaring their intention to protect US Internet giants from EU legislation such as #DMA and #DSA. ec.europa.eu/commission/pre…

Dopo il caso #Equalize, con un milione di persone spiate e una mole abnorme di dati carpiti, qualcuno direbbe ancora che "la privacy è una fisima"? Partendo da questa domanda, oggi analizzo la vicenda sotto il profilo privacy, indicando problemi, carenze e ipotesi di soluzione. Sono inutili nuove norme e maggiori sanzioni, se alla fine la privacy continua a essere considerata la "fisima" di qualche burocrate.
