AirBNB posted a nice overview of their entry into knowledge graphs: medium.com/airbnb-enginee…. I found this line hilarious: “There are cases when it is suboptimal to synchronously write data through the knowledge graph API”.

Reviewing a poor performing entity resolution implementation with a couple of data archs, using Cassandra it had a read before write for an in-line ER. One suggested adding a cache. The other responded by suggesting ScyllaDB for the cache, and I’ve been laughing since.
