There are a few things to unpack here, which I think are worth highlighting. 🙂 - On the XRP network, only the public orderbook DEX (including the AMM) is permissionless and always accessible for you to trade on. - What we see here is @Ripple creating their own permissioned domain for gated access to a permissioned DEX orderbook (not AMM) on the XRPL. - So it's liquidity fragmentation by design, to make sure only participants are able to access this liquidity and trade within this pDEX that were prior given the correct credentials for this specific domain. - Tradingpairs that you will see are: 🔸 MXNB/RLUSD 🔸 MXNB/XRP 🔸 RLUSD/XRP - "Permissioned" doesn't equal "privacy". The permissioned orderbook DEX will still be transparent but gated. - In case @Bitso allows free access to their issued stablecoin just like Ripple does for RLUSD, you will see these aforementioned trading pairs on the public XRPL DEX as well. (The one you will always be able to access) - This means that there will be arbitrage opportunities for those who have access to both DEXs and want to keep prices in both trading venues as close to equal as possible to each other. 👉 What does this mean for XRP? You cannot use the XRPL without XRP ‼️ - Using Ripple's permissioned DEX infrastructure on XRPL for the U.S.–Mexico corridor is no exclusion. 🔸 Everyone using an XRPL account --> XRP locked 🔸 Everyone holding MXNB --> XRP locked 🔸 Everyone holding RLUSD --> XRP locked 🔸 Everyone creating an offer on the pDEX that didn't yet get filled --> XRP locked 🔸 Everyone holding a credential --> XRP locked 🔸 Everyone creating a permissioned domain --> XRP locked 🔸 Everyone signing any transaction, no matter the domain --> XRP burned as fee And the most important one, especially for this: 🔸 XRPL's autobridging feature automatically improving your asset-conversion for a better price if it makes sense --> XRP used as the bridge currency. Autobridging works on both the public XRPL DEX, as well as on any given permissioned DEX on the XRP blockchain. The only thing that doesn't work is "cross-domain" autobridging. The reason, again, is the fact that liquidity is segregated by design for compliance reasons. Are we bullish? - Yes 😏

@krippenreiter @Ripple You're right. 🤔 It's basically an EASY one-hop to open liquidity from anywhere ... via one credentialed user in both worlds. This is *possible* with trad-fi, but there are other steps & long settlement periods with current (non-tokenized) trading. GREAT point. 🏆
