there's a good reason why AI in art isn't being accepted by a lot of people like how it is for coding. to learn code is to learn a language, lots of programmers understand that AI can learn the language well enough so having AI do simple tasks can be seen as somewhat of an ethical time saver because it leads to the same result With art, there is no language or "right way" for things to be done, there is no level of offloading that should be given to AI because the entire point is that it is created by humans. The idea that there is some kind of drought or that artists don't want to do the work is nonsense. There will always be someone for the job and there will always be someone who's happy to work overtime to push designs out faster just because they are happy and grateful they get to make art for a living. It simply comes down to a matter of whether epic games are willing to pay those people what they deserve

funny how its always the large companies and non artists (people who have no idea what they're talking about) trying to make it seem like artists don't want to do their jobs artists have been making video game concept art for years, they never needed these tools, nor did they ask for them

imo using ai tools like this is fine as long as it helps the devs (+ it's optional), and it'll get normalized over time anyway, same way AI coding tools went from "bad quality" to "cheating" to standard in just 3 years once people realized how much faster they get things done
