1 in 7 jobs in Utah are in tech. Imagine if... 1) Every tech company along the Wasatch Front gave their employees a @RideUTA pass. and 2) On Red air quality days, companies had a *mandatory* work from home policy. 🤯 Tech should be leading out on this.
It's unfortunate that "productivity" is often defined as making the code larger. Sometimes, the best use of our time is to make the code smaller. Get rid of the stuff that's not doing anything, that's never executed. Makes everything easier.
For the first time I’m starting work on a green-field project. Setting up infrastructure and negotiating with/educating founders and investors should be a class taught somewhere.
If you believe that any imposed framework ("scaled" or otherwise) will be more effective than one built by the teams from a position of knowledge, there's 50 years of experience in the Lean community proving your wrong. The best processes come from the people doing the work.
Launching products in a company that's just starting to invest in a digital transformation is an opportunity to learn how to have critical trade off discussions without losing the integrity of the product. It's about little wins to make the overall product vision a reality.
Build things that solve problems for both internal and external users in incriments that prove the value of the transition. Win hearts and minds, as it were. Turn doubters into evangelists.

No amount of Scrum (or SAFe) training will get you up to speed on actual Agile software development. Neither framework has anything at all to say about actually creating code, and you cannot create a program by having stand-up meetings.
Agile is a toolbox, not a process.
