PCB MILLER IS WORKING! You can now generate the gcode to mill a PCB in UNDER ONE MINUTE. No installation, no dependencies, just ONE HTML FILE!!! I still have a lot of improvements to make but I would call this a complete victory. You can just make your own software.

There's this phenomenon I noticed in bootstrapping a business which I'm going to just call "the squeeze". It is by far the hardest part of the mental game and it's something I went through at the end of 2023 and beginning of 2024. The squeeze is characterized by: 1. Making some progress on your business but not knowing how to make it repeatable or scalable. 2. High uncertainty of whether or not you're doing the right thing day after day. 3. Constant consideration of opportunity costs (i.e. "I could be making more money in a job and compound that wealth"). 4. Constant comparison (i.e. "Why is my thing not working but other people's things are working?"). 5. Dwindling runway (i.e. "How many more months can I do this?") My brain literally started squeezing the joy out of me and making me think of ways out of my situation. My brain ended up exploring jobs, contract work, service based business models, consulting, and more alternatives, slowly pulling me away from my main goal. How did I cope? idk lol there's no good answer here. I continued to do what I knew was the right thing day after day and had to ignore my thoughts or worries. It's just brutal. I had to accept my reality and live with it. What helped me was to be as consistent as possible and focus on things that were moving the needle. For me it was trying my best to do the following: gym, code, market, sleep, repeat. I can't tell you what specific factors led to me "breaking out" of the squeeze since it's not just "one thing". Looking back in hindsight, almost every moment was critical in building the product, and also more importantly, the person I am today. A bonus: Now that I've done it once I can do it again :)
