Heatwave for Michigan this week on Wednesday and Thursday.
A widespread heat wave will build across the central U.S. through midweek before shifting to the East Coast, where it peaks on Friday, then slowly ease over the weekend. An early season heatwave can often be more dangerous and pose a greater risk for heat-related illness. This
@IAPolls2022 To change any maps in Michigan would require a state Constitutional amendment that would have to be voted on during the general election, which means to change anything it would have to be voted on in 2028 and would happen until 2030. This isn't a real thing in Michigan.
The Michigan Board of Education is also giving a special recognition to Sue Carnell, who served as the chief deputy superintendent and interim state superintendent. She is retiring July 31, 2026, and the board does not meet in July.
The State Board of Education in Michigan votes to add three resolutions to their afternoon agenda, including a recognition of the USA's 250th Anniversary, the creation of a special committee, and a request for funding from the state Legislature.
