Laura Lindsey is the Chair of the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners and mother to a 17-year-old daughter in public school in Cabarrus County. She is concerned for the safety of her daughter - and all daughters in the county she serves - because boys are currently accessing girls’ bathrooms in the public schools. Her local school board is refusing to fix the problem. Yesterday, the US Department of Education opened an investigation into Cabarrus County for violating Title IX protections of women’s private spaces.
