Here’s a thought: Ronin Needs More Than Just Proof of Distribution PoD focuses on rewarding builders and is a good incentive for smaller projects trying to build on Ronin. However, the everyday user feels left out. “We used to have staking rewards, now that goes to builders” This creates a gap that needs to be filled. This shift has left many wondering: beyond the upcoming governance/voting system, what’s the real incentive to hold and use RON? Proposed Recommendations: 1. Launch the Honor Program (XP System) Introduce an ecosystem-wide Honor/XP program that rewards active community members. Use a small portion of the previous staking rewards pool for leaderboard prizes. For example, 70% to builders, 30% to the community. Users could be ranked based on on-chain and in-game metrics across partnered games: - Playtime - Spend - NFT volume - Wallet activity/history 2. Add Real Utility & Perks for Holding/Spending RON To offset any additional sell pressure, tie meaningful benefits to RON holdings and usage, similar to how Zentry unlocks tiers. Examples: - Hold 10,000 RON → 5,000 Honor points per week - Spend RON ingame → Bonus points or multipliers - Hold 5,000 RON → Free VIP access So many ways to explore this. 3. Introduce a Ronin Ecosystem Pass Create a unified Ronin Pass that works across multiple games. Holders get exclusive perks like skins, loot, boosts, and in-game items. This creates a new revenue stream: revenue from Pass sales/renewals could be split between Ronin and participating game developers, benefiting the entire ecosystem. Bruh I could think of many ways to add more utility to Ron. But I know great features don’t launch overnight. These are just ideas to spark discussion and help close the gap between builders and everyday users Would really like to see the Honor Program in action and how the users respond to it.
