Got a foundation for the next project installed today. This one will start right after the holidays in January. Contracted @GBGSLtd to get this done. Very happy with their process, result and cost. Definitely will use them again 🙂

I like timber more than uPVC, but I guess it's a matter of taste. Also uPVC is slightly cheaper. uPVC trim comes in three different colors: Black, Anthracite gray and White. It's nice to align the fascia color with the glazing frames color.

We released the fresh feature a couple of days ago. Now you can select between the new PVC and timber fascia for the front and other sides of the roof. We were building this already, but now this is available online.

But we got a customer that will require us to make it better, and so we are pushing our own limits forward and improving both our systems and our processes. Challenges make you grow.

Our trail of communication with the customers is quite informal and ad-hoc right now. It's frequent and detailed, so customers are happy, but it's still not very structured.

It is hard to deal with a high-profile demanding customers, but it's also a nice thing because it pushes us to be better.

Just rolled out another feature last night. Now the customers can select the foundation type online: ground screws, concrete or pre-existing foundation.

It's adding about 5-10cm, depending on the model size. Doesn't feel like much, but those are the cm that will make the difference between hitting your head on the ceiling and being comfortable in it.

We just rolled out a feature to allow you to increase your headroom in your garden room, while staying within 2.5m height limit.

We'll manage. One very commonly requested feature is going live probably tomorrow morning. That's one less thing I'll have to worry about in the manual quotes.

The problem was, of course, that right now the person doing the quotes, and the person doing the coding are the same person. And one writing post as well. But I'll just need to balance these things and make sure I do find time to automate repetitive quoting requests.

We have an interesting problem now. We have more leads that we are able to handle at this point, which is not very many. Part of the problem is that the system just doesn't support all the options yet.

And garden rooms are a proving ground for the early stages of developing this technology. Our master plan is public at 4lp.tech.

At high scale - we think an improvement of 30-40% vs today's cost and time is possible, all while improving quality. We want to get this technology to the point where housing will stop being a problem for fertility rates in countries where we will operate.

In the recent Works in Progress podcast with @JesusFerna7026 and one other thing Jesús is mentioning housing as one of the drivers for dropping fertility rates. This was one of the fundamental drivers for us to start 4LP, the company behind Precision Rooms.
