Strengthening quality-led growth in Bharat’s footwear sector. Quality Council of India (QCI) and Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) signed an MoU to strengthen the quality, testing, accreditation and skilling ecosystem across Bharat’s leather and footwear clusters. The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri Chakravarthy T. Kannan, Secretary General, QCI, and Shri Vivek Sharma, Managing Director, FDDI. The collaboration will focus on capacity building, worker assessment and certification, laboratory capability enhancement, cluster-specific training, MSME awareness and improved access to testing and accreditation support.
