@jo_bartosch @JournalismSEEN What is sorely missing is guidance that says that schools should be teaching that everyone has a sex (i.e. male or female) that is determined by their biology, and that they cannot change it no matter what drugs they take or surgery is done.

@Bernard_Lane @ABSStats The Australian government needs to learn lessons from the UK experience before deciding on their questions for the next census. They must not muddy the difference between sex (which is fixed by biology and cannot be changed) and gender identity (which can be whatever you want).

@MForstater I peaked when I realised that those using the mantra "Transwomen are Women" really meant that some men had literally changed their sex, which is a scientific impossibility. I am a scientist.

@VictoriaPeckham @thetimes I am not convinced. Until politicians such as Starmer and Nandy actually retract previous statements that "a transwoman is a woman" and that "some women have a penis" there will be no progress. They also need to stop redefining words, e.g. lesbian, to try to obfuscate the issue.
