I was excited about my interview. Especially since they requested it after seeing my resume. As soon as I said how long I’d been in the industry, which is on the resume, he repeated the years back and ended the interview after 7 minutes. Yes, 7 minutes. #Ageism is alive

So here's a thought. We place a lot of attention and $$$ on educating youth to perform in the jobs ahead, which we should, but shouldn't we also focus and spend $$$ on educating the older population? People are living longer healthier lives. #Ageism #AgeismIsAThing

This article on #Ageism came out two days before my layoff last year. In my severance package, they note the titles and ages of the others laid off in that round. ALL were over 50. One was 48. I'm still looking. quora.com/How-prevalent-…
