Kevin Kimmel was parked at a truck stop when something made him look twice. An old RV. A young girl who appeared briefly at the window — and was immediately pulled back. The shade drawn. Most people would have looked away. Written it off as nothing. Moved on. Kevin Kimmel had attended a training session run by an organization called Truckers Against Trafficking. He knew what he was looking at. He called the police. That phone call ended weeks of physical and sexual abuse for the girl in that RV. Truckers Against Trafficking was founded in 2009 on a simple and powerful insight: truck drivers are everywhere. They cover the nation's highways around the clock. They stop at truck stops, rest areas, and motels in every city and county in America. They see things that most people never see — and because they're always moving, they see patterns across regions and routes that no single community could detect alone. "Trafficking happens everywhere," says Kylla Lanier, one of TAT's co-founders. "It's happening in homes, in conference centers, at schools, casinos, truck stops, hotels, motels, everywhere. It's an everywhere problem — but truckers happen to be everywhere." TAT trains truckers and truck stop employees to recognize the signs that aren't obvious to the untrained eye. A person with no access to their own ID or money. Conversation that sounds scripted, like someone is reciting answers rather than speaking freely. A child who appears briefly and is abruptly pulled out of sight. The training doesn't ask truckers to intervene directly. It asks them to pay attention — and to make a phone call. Since 2009, TAT has trained over 2 million people. Those trained truckers and employees have helped law enforcement free hundreds of trafficking victims, including more than 300 minors. Three hundred children. Each one of them representing a Kevin Kimmel moment — someone who paid attention, recognized what they were seeing, and made a call. "Before, if I saw a prostitute, I would have thought, 'Hey, that's what they want to do,'" says Sam Tahour, District Manager for TA Travel Plaza. "Now I know what signs to look for. I know what actions to take. This is what's going on out there, and these people need a hero." The heroes in this story aren't wearing capes. They're driving trucks across the country in the middle of the night, paying attention to a window shade being drawn a little too quickly, and knowing that the right response is to pick up a phone. Last night my friend @MaxwellFrostFL showed me Donald Trump’s Truth Social posting urging MAGA to expel me from Congress. Apparently Trump doesn’t appreciate our fight against his $1.776 billion slush fund or his outrageous attack against the Southern Poverty Law Center. Sorry, Mr. President, I’m not going anywhere but back to the front lines of the fight against corruption and authoritarianism.

In 2024, Trump kept saying that he "didn't need votes." Elon said he'd "go to prison" if Trump lost, and knew the election results 4 hours early. His 4 year old son said that Trump really wasn't the President, and "they'll never know." Russia sent bomb threats to more than 67 swing state election offices, in blue districts, on 11/05/24. On 12/30/24, Biden imposed sanctions on Russia and Iran for "election meddling." CIA whistleblowers say they participated in an audit that showed the election was rigged, and Harris won. Yet, the results weren't contested. Winning all 7 swing states at the rates Trump did was like winning the lottery 7 times in a row. Many Democratic votes weren't counted, and Harris' name was removed from the ballots in Rockland County, NY, spurring a lawsuit. In 2025, Trump stated on camera, at least 3 times, that the 2024 election was "rigged" for him, and thanked Elon for "knowing those vote counting computers." Elon posted that Trump and some GOP members of Congress "wouldn't have won" without him. His ex-girlfriend has now revealed text messages about how he used "space lasers" to rig the election. We all know Elon owns Starlink, and we've been told it was used in the election. The state of Georgia found that Elon fraudulently prefilled many of their election ballots. Yet, even knowing that Trump and the GOP are openly trying to rig 2026, our Democratic lawmakers refuse to conduct an investigation into the 2024 election. None of them have ever said anything about it. I have no idea why. The truth will eventually come out. The Trump Regime and GOP pose a significant threat to America and its democracy. Even though Democrats hold a minority in Congress, they need to fight, tooth and nail, to save us! THEY MUST FINALLY BREAK THE SILENCE! DEMAND IT!

Your father's worst childhood memories may have physically altered his sperm before you were conceived. And the mechanism is wild. For a century sperm were treated as a courier: deliver the DNA, done. They also carry a live RNA readout of the father's life, and it can reset the child's stress response in the first hours after fertilization. The DNA sequence never changes. What shifts is the cargo riding alongside it: microRNAs about 22 letters long, plus chopped-up fragments of tRNA. Stress changes which ones get loaded and how much. The strange part is where the sperm picks them up. They don't write most of this cargo themselves. As they move through the epididymis to finish maturing, tiny vesicles called epididymosomes hand them RNA made by the surrounding tissue. The duct works like a sensor, reading the father's current physiology and updating the payload right before the sperm is ever used. Two labs killed the coincidence explanation. Tracy Bale's group found nine specific microRNAs elevated in stressed males, injected exactly those nine into a normal single-cell embryo, and reproduced the same dysregulated stress-axis response in the offspring. Isabelle Mansuy's group took sperm RNA from males traumatized early in life and injected it into ordinary fertilized eggs. The egg was normal and the mother was normal. The RNA alone carried the behavioral and metabolic changes across. Inside the embryo, those microRNAs degrade specific maternal instructions stockpiled in the egg, which rewires gene expression in the offspring's hypothalamus, the control center for stress hormones. The childhood specificity is doing real work. Mansuy's model is literally early trauma: pups separated unpredictably from stressed mothers, with the signature still detectable three generations down. In 2018 a Tufts team found the same two sperm microRNAs shifted in men who reported childhood trauma, the first time the mouse markers turned up in humans. It also stays editable. The cargo tracks current conditions, so it shifts with them. Enriched environments reversed part of the effect in mice; in men, weight loss after bariatric surgery moves obesity-linked microRNAs back toward baseline. The hard causal proof still lives in rodents, and the human evidence so far is matching markers rather than a demonstrated handoff to the next generation. The mechanism is real. The size of the human effect is the open question. Heredity runs on two channels. One is the genome, locked at conception. The other is a layer of RNA that keeps sampling the father's life and gets written onto sperm at the last possible moment. The second one is still within reach of what he does before then.
