This false nomenclature of “researcher” and “engineer”, which is a thinly-masked way of describing a two-tier engineering system, is being deleted from @xai today. There are only engineers. Researcher is a relic term from academia.

Here are 6 psychological frameworks that separate consistent traders from consistent losers 🧵👇 1. Secure Cashflow ≠ Weakness “The market is not your paycheck.” – JTrader If trading is your only source of income, pressure becomes your worst enemy. When you need to make money, you force trades, break rules, and self-sabotage. A stable side income — job, freelancing, business — removes desperation and restores clarity. Clear mind = clear execution. 2. Backtest = Confidence in Chaos “What’s not tested is just hope.” Confidence doesn’t come from guessing — it comes from data. Backtest at least 100+ trades and track: • Win rate (e.g. 62%) • Average R:R (e.g. 2.3:1) • Max drawdown (DD%) • Profit factor When you know your edge statistically, you stop flinching at losses — and start playing probabilities. 3. Gamify Discipline “Process builds profit.” You don’t need motivation — you need systems. Build a reward system: ✅ Follow your plan = +1 star ❌ Break your plan = -2 stars 🎯 Goal = 100 stars Track behavior, not P&L. Discipline is the only metric that predicts long-term success. 4. Capital Preservation > Flashy Profits “You don’t need Lamborghini days. You need mortgage-safe months.” The best traders aren’t trying to impress — they’re trying to survive. Save during winning streaks. Cut back during drawdowns. Risk 1% per trade → you can survive 50 consecutive losses. Survival is underrated alpha. 5. The Matrix Technique “Detach from outcome. Either: • Save 12 months of expenses • Have a supportive partner • Or diversify your income (coaching, tools, content, affiliate deals) You’re not just managing trades — you’re managing stress. Be smart about it. Final Thoughts: 📌 Trading isn’t just technical. It’s psychological. 📌 Discipline scales. Ego kills. 📌 You don’t rise to your goals — you fall to your systems. Master your mind.
