Spend what you can afford on your tripod. Not for features. For STABILITY. Camera shake ruins footage in ways you can't fix. Families can't recreate these moments. A quality tripod stays steady when someone walks past. It adjusts quietly when you need height.
Is your memorial videography setup disrespectful? I once walked into a service and found my tripod surrounded by five mourners. I couldn't move it. I couldn't adjust it. I just had to hope nothing happened outside that frame.
