@Canonandcreed It’s one thing to say that baptism isn’t strictly necessary to be saved, but another thing entirely to say it doesn’t save. The former, I accept, the latter, I reject. BTW, we disagree on stuff like Hell & the intermediate state, but I appreciate your content a lot. Keep it up.

@NathanBozeman2 @ThoughtfulCafe Not trying to start a whole back and forth, but I’m curious: Do you not take John 10:10-15 to mean that Jesus died in our place? The picture, as I see it, is one of a shepherd stepping in between his sheep and a wolf to die in their stead, unlike the hired hand who flees.

See Luke 8:50 and Mark 5:36, where Jairus is told, “only believe, and [your daughter] will be saved,” prefiguring the hope of resurrection as Jesus raises her from the dead.

Still looked exactly like it did before he ate it but… coloured. He was fine. Still don’t know how he managed to swallow that thing, or why he went for it.

@needGod_net And btw, apart from severely depressed and heartbroken atheists, none of them “look forward to” their eventual end. Normally, people want to extend their lives. Also, even Thomas Aquinas, who held to the eternal torment view, called annihilation “the greatest of punishments.”
