The loudest part of the Strategy bear case rests on two beliefs that quietly contradict each other. One: bitcoin compounds at something like twenty to thirty percent a year over the long run, which is the whole reason people hold it in the first place. The other: Strategy's playbook has to fail because bitcoin cannot appreciate fast enough to cover the cost of its preferreds and debt. Both cannot hold at once. Either the playbook is broken, or bitcoin just has a bumpy road ahead and Strategy has to survive it. @JohanMBergman works through both sides of it, and what would actually pull STRC back toward par, in his latest letter.
