The fusion of ChatGPT and Codex keeps moving forward. Codex can now import chat sessions, Projects, and settings directly from @ChatGPTapp. That makes the direction pretty clear: @OpenAI is gradually turning Codex into the central interface for both coding and general AI work. The long-term plan seems to be a merger of ChatGPT into Codex, creating a so-called agentic "super app" where coding, research, task execution, and everyday AI assistance all live in one place.

Another interesting thing about this transition is that you can reference apps from ChatGPT in Codex but those ChatGPT apps don't yet show up in the plugin marketplace. The new Chrome extension shows they are moving away from Atlas as a standalone product, honestly all of these moves make a lot of sense. The world doesn't need another browser right now, it needs a competitive option to Claude's growing product line and Codex is going to be just that. The modern day iOS vs. Android rivalry which is great for us

@ick_real Let them teach you and learn to ask good questions. People love to teach new things. This has helped me out greatly in my career, letting people teach me things even if I already know how to do it, you never know what they might share that is a new way of thinking.

@tyler1_fanclub @OpenAI Yea but Edge had it for 5 years before that. I was using Firefox for a while but then Edge became the better Chrome. I get to use WSL on Windows and get the best of both worlds. Besides, I also use edge on my MacBook because it's that much better than Safari (and Chrome).
