@sleepdiplomat thoughts welcome on the below? And sorry if this is a stupid question, however it really changes the practical application of the 7-9 hours findings (especially for light sleepers).

@sleepdiplomat Very interesting findings in Why We Sleep, however when you recommend at 7hrs+ of sleep a night, is this based on time actually asleep (e.g. measured with a sleep tracker, and taking into account periods awake) or is this based on the total time spent in bed?
