For those begging their teams for McTavish. He is very good if his line gets offensive zone time as he has very good stick skills. However every coach he has had has avoided playing him against top lines as much as possible and if he gets caught behind the play, which he does often because of being a poor skater and not having a high defensive IQ, He doesn't have the skating ability to get out of it. his skating really has not improved since his draft year. #NHL
