State of the Quest ecosystem: Horizon home is stuck loading forever with CPU cranked to 8. By the time you launch your app, the headset can't keep the cpu at level 8 so loading is sluggish and the SoC is at high temperature. It's been like this for 8 months...
Almost a year later and that bug is still there, not to mention the FPS degradation after 30min of play and random broken things with Meta’s A/B tests. What a disaster.

@COBreck243 @shanselman Thanks Garrett, have been impacted by this. Note that the dropdowns on that Create support request page doesn’t allow us to pick “Windows Developer Center” under “Developer, Student, Startup programs”
@ADunaway3000 Audio stutters are a network issue most likely. Reach out on Discord and check the network optimizations tips by typing /optimize discord.vrdesktop.net
@newsun1488 We don’t force updates. We don’t control that from our side. That’s a Meta issue. You can try unchecking the “Automatically update apps” checkbox in the Horizon phone app.
Still not fixed in latest v2.1 OS and on top of that, the Horizon portal sometimes pops in your face preventing you from interacting with anything else.

@yuki073 @Bizzclaw @s0rnt Not sure why you are trying to play gotcha questions with me. There’s no statement to retract; I decide what to work on based on what users request, what complexity it has and how much support it entails. If you are not happy with my decisions, well you have other free options 🤷🏼♂️
@s0rnt I’m just 1 person. Windows and macOS are where the majority of desktop users are today and that’s enough work as it is. Also this below:
@JdThe65th Stride is not used on the Streamer side, it’s only used on the headset side. Streamer uses SharpDX, WPF and Windows Apis. MacOS Streamer uses Xamarin.
@HereIsAChart Depends on your processor, the compilation flags you use and how lean the kernel you end up using is. Try it and see!

@ABCXYBOI The app isn’t sold or supported in China because of the great firewall. It makes connectivity and support through Discord a nightmare. Once China gets internet like the rest of the world does, I will gladly sell the app there. Won’t bend over backwards otherwise.
