@KyleWatson16398 I would also lower the tax rate, 20% flat for everyone with zero deductions for anything. Seems fair that everyone pays the same And out of compassion, and since the US is so rich, a lower 30k tax free hurdle

It's true that some of the complaints about wealth disparity are perhaps just jealousy But a lot of it is also that the wealthy pay a far lower "effective" tax rate due to loopholes and structures They lobby governments and regulators to change laws in their favour They donate to politicians that then grant them contracts on quid pro quo In many cases tax payers are involuntarily funding the wealth being grown to those staggering levels It's not out of line for people to expect that the wealthy pay the same effective tax rate as the progressive income tax system says they should Not nominal dollars, that's a distortion that the wealthy use. They'll say we pay XYZ percentage of all tax money Yes, obviously, you also have XYZ^2 of all the wealth No, I mean the same relative percentages of taxes along the way for everyone, and the same rules as everyone else "IF" that's the system we had, people would have less of a problem with the billionaire class But people know the system is rigged, they know wealth is being extracted behind closed doors They know the United States should be wealthy enough that everybody has a higher standard of living The problem is NOT that people are billionaires It's HOW they became billionaires that is the issue

USA Iran "deal" is done Given that I was not in favour of this war starting in the first place, I'm very happy to see that it appears it will be ending.  Trump has announced that a deal has been signed and the Strait of Hormuz will be open again for regular operations. Inflation around the world has spiked, and not only on gas but food as well.  The Strait of Hormuz is not only an oil tanker passage for roughly 20% of the worlds production, but it's a general commercial lane as well for agricultural and industrial goods coming and going from the region. Opening it back up again is great news and will be welcome relief for all countries around the world that have been a victim of the inflation and shortages.  If this is legit it's truly great news! Having said that, this deal does seem to be pretty loose as far as war ending agreements go.  The details seem to include: 1)  Extension of the US and Iran ceasefire for another 60 days 2)  An agreement to begin negotiations on the technical aspects of Iran's nuclear program 3)  Strait of Hormuz will be opened and the US naval blockade will be removed 4)  US will begin discussions on sanctions relief for Iran 5)  US will begin discussions on releasing frozen Iranian funds 6)  The deal includes a clause to end the active fighting on all fronts including Lebanon The first thing you'll notice is that the language isn't exactly definitive.  This deal is essentially just a memorandum of understanding  (MOU)  and an agreement to begin negotiations. Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% in favour of both sides getting together for talks.  The problem is the two sides, and three sides if you include Israel, they all seem to be wildly far apart on how to resolve this and statements as recent as today should give us some pause on where they all stand. - It seems politically precarious to me for Trump to just remove sanctions and return the seized assets.  He also can't budge on any of the nuclear stuff because he claims that's the reason he did this in the first place.  Will his political base allow him to status quo back to the Obama deal? - Israel doesn't seem like they want to stop anytime soon, and it's always appeared to me that they have some leverage on Trump / USA in some way so perhaps they will just keep pursuing their goals, whatever those are. - Iran will likely use this  (at least partial)  victory to try to squeeze some tolls or fund raising off the Strait of Hormuz going forward, returned assets, and remove sanctions.  They have leverage for the first time in a long time, they will probably try to use it. I don't want to be a buzzkill, I would love for all this to end and all sides to just go home and never fight again.  However, perhaps it's the skeptic in me but I just don't see how this doesn't flare up again in a few months. I sure hope I'm wrong, but don't be surprised if this isn't the last we hear about all this...

Are you SURE you understand what you're trading? If you're trading Short Vol ETFs, do you know what they are and how they work? If you're trading Options, do you understand the Greeks, Implied Vol, how they are priced?

@Bradford396704 I suspect there's less time than people think. The vast majority of people have no clue about the financial situation of SpaceX. When we see a couple earnings reports, then we'll see how much faith people put in that stock price
