Over the last decade we have implemented Lean Six Sigma principles & tools like the 5S model to drive efficiency at scale. Let’s break it down. 🧵👇 1. Lean Six Sigma at Chick-fil-A Lean Six Sigma is all about eliminating waste, reducing variation, and continuously improving processes. The 5S Model in Action The 5S model (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) is a core Lean tool used in Chick-fil-A kitchens and operations. Restaurants are meticulously maintained to ensure safety & efficiency. 📌 Standardize: Every location follows the same procedures to ensure a consistent guest experience, whether you're in Atlanta or Los Angeles. 📌 Sustain: Employees are trained to uphold these systems daily, ensuring long-term operational excellence. 3. How This Transforms the Guest Experience By applying Lean Six Sigma and 5S, Chick-fil-A has achieved: ✅ Industry-leading speed: Drive-thru times consistently outperform competitors. ✅ Higher accuracy: Lean processes reduce order mistakes. ✅ Unmatched consistency: Every location delivers the same great experience. ✅ Lower costs: Efficiency improvements help maintain strong profit margins. 4.
