Cities and towns have budgets which relies on property tax. I live in a small town of like 700 people. Who pays for the upkeep of town owned roads, water management, fire hydrant upkeep. Annual festivals, damage from weather to local roads not covered by the province or state. Each city/Town has expenses.

The free healthcare that bumps you on down the line you you are waiting weeks in a hospital bed for a 2 hour surgery because quetionably someone with a more serious condition enters the hospital every day. When with a private healthcare system covered by most employer insurance would cover, will get you in the day it is scheduled.....
