Autismo: los cambios inesperados me desregulan. TDAH: la rutina me asfixia. AuDHD: necesito estructura para funcionar y en cuanto la tengo quiero escapar de ella. Me aburre o no me activa. Y sí, desde fuera a veces parece contradictorio. Desde dentro se vive más como tener dos sistemas tirando en direcciones distintas a la vez.

La idea de que TDAH y autismo son “opuestos e incompatibles” está bastante desactualizada. De hecho, la coexistencia entre ambos es frecuente. Lo que pasa es que desde fuera algunas cosas parecen contradictorias: - necesidad de rutina pero dificultad para sostenerla - búsqueda de novedad y a la vez saturación rápida - deseo de orden con caos ejecutivo - hipersensibilidad + búsqueda de estimulación Y además hay conductas que se parecen mucho desde fuera pero tienen mecanismos distintos por detrás. Por ejemplo, una persona puede desconectarse porque su cerebro busca estímulo constantemente (más típico TDAH) o porque está saturada sensorial o socialmente (más típico TEA). Desde fuera puede parecer lo mismo. Por dentro no siempre lo es.

TDAH y Asperger, fracaso escolar en la ESO y outsider del sistema educativo desde entonces. Trabajo como programador informático como autodidacta desde que empecé a dar tumbos en 2008. Ahora adicionalmente hago de técnico de sonido algunos fines de semana por cuatro pelas en una pequeña sala. Es una de mis múltiples áreas de interés, me da acceso a juguetes que no tendría en otro entorno, aprendo, y me felicitan los grupos y algún borracho. A veces hasta disfruto de un buen concierto 🤣
